"I left the theatre last night with a bit of a skip in my step brought on by a simply delightful....imaginative and brightly presented...production of a so very familiar story that seemed to be born anew. You...and your entire company and production team...are to be generously commended for their individual contributions and collective efforts. You all deserve great praise" (Keith Gaylord on A Midsummer Night's Dream 2017).
About Us
The Hour-Glass Youth Theatre, based in Burlington, Vermont, is a small group of youth actors and creative artists who all have an appreciation for Shakespeare and desire to bring new messages to an classic text. Shakespeare's language and stories are rich with double meanings and messages just as relevant today as 400-years ago. We strive to change our corner of the world through these stories we tell.
Henry IV, Part One was the company’s first show in Fall 2016, demonstrating a vital message about how growing up doesn’t have to mean losing your childhood. Hour-Glass was pleased to present its second and third productions, A Midsummer Night's Dream in summer 2017 and As You Like It in summer 2018.
